Step into a vibrant world where creatures are surrounded by bright florals and travel destinations are bursting with color.

Hi! My name is Jennie and I’m so happy you’re here!

About Me

I grew up on a dirt road in Connecticut on what seemed like a magical plot of land surrounded by woods with little creeks filled with crawfish. Barn owl hoots would echo in the night and the opossum family that lived under our deck would come out and say hello at the glass door every now and then. Deer would prance through the yard while we found black and yellow speckled salamanders and massive bullfrogs in our pool. My two sisters and I would be outside from sun up to sundown exploring together and riding bikes around the neighborhood.

I created projects out of what I found laying around the house or the yard being resourceful in what I used for projects like scrap fabric from my mom’s interior design job, creating my own fabric out of newspaper or making tiny brick ovens for squirrels out of bricks I found in the woods to cook mushrooms for them.

I get a lot of my creative quirk from my mother, who stuffed our home with nick nacks, crafts and inspiration in every corner. I remember looking at pages from her college sketchbook thinking what an amazing artist she is and dreaming of being able to draw like her. Her home studio is stuffed with crafts like shells to hand paint and fairy gardens to build that always feel so special when I get them as gifts. She has passed down her obsession of cute critters to my sisters and me and that is why critter prints are integral to my mix!

My grandmother, the queen of crafting and sewing, taught us how to make rolled beads from magazine clippings and sewed us the coolest halloween costumes. She was always able to patch a whole in our favorite dolls and teach us how to mold play dough like a pro. She also had a passion for reading and gave us mountains of books to fuel our curiosities.

Along with my grandma was one my my favorite people growing up, my Grandpa. The man who taught me to be a propper puddle jumper and craft boats out of white birch tree bark to float down streams while always making us swear “Scouts Honor!” after making a promise.

A sneaky crafter and classy homemaker himself, the Mr.Mom that takes care of everyone is my dad. He effortlessly bakes the most beautiful deserts and cooks meals that I daydream about. He also has an out of control green thumb. I would bring dying plants to him from my apartment so he could “bring them back to life” and he was successful every time! He always landscaped the gardens surrounding our little green ranch house to perfection every summer. I think that is where my love for florals comes from.

My passion for travel is also prominent in my prints. I am lucky enough to have the best travel partner, my fiancé to explore the world with! Traveling is the reason for so many of my core memories and major fuel for inspiration. I also wouldn’t be anything without our loving puppy who greets us with a smile upon return every time making our house a home.

I hope that my art brings colorful and happy memories to other homes because homes should be bright like the memories that drive us.
